JoAnn speaks with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries

JoAnn Loulan confronts Hakeem Jeffries about Dem leaders NOT BEING VISIBLE, saying they were powerless, and not telling us what to do! Jeffries replied mainstream press won't cover them. JoAnn said "GET ON SOCIAL MEDIA, get your younger interns to put you on social media every single day." She told him Liccardo refused town halls. He said he is asking all members to hold them. Jeffries did say that the budget fight is why he is emphasizing that the Dems are in the minority so they don't get blamed for the government shut down. JoAnn told him to  STAND UP WE NEED YOU! He ended with saying the MARCH 4 STATE OF THE UNION address will see Dems doing unusual protests. One is bringing people who lost jobs or are suffering from Musk/Trump.

      Cindi & MaryAnn attend Liccardo's First Town Hall - February 18, 2025

Congressman Sam Liccardo addressed concerns at his first town hall in Half Moon Bay. He plans to hold town halls throughout the district and emphasized the importance of grassroots efforts in reclaiming lost political seats. He outlined ongoing legislative and legal efforts to counteract executive actions, including lawsuits and policy protections.

Liccardo expressed frustration with congressional priorities, which have focused on cultural issues rather than economic concerns. He warned of a potential government shutdown in March and stressed the importance of bipartisan cooperation.

When asked about effective activism, he encouraged supporting organizations challenging the Trump administration in court, as well as amplifying personal stories, and engaging with media. He acknowledged security concerns among colleagues but emphasized the power of private, bipartisan conversations in fostering understanding. He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to representing and supporting his constituents.
